• To foster in students an appreciation, respect, and understanding of music that will enable them to make reasonable, personal judgments on music.

• To foster musically literate students by developing aural, physical, and translative music skills.

• To foster quality performance characteristics within individual and ensemble-based musical settings.

• To foster a community and environment where students can experience musical development in a personally meaningful and positive manner.

The Clear Brook High School band staff believes that by utilizing the artistic medium of sound, music can give learners clarity and insight into the universal human experience. Since music is simultaneously individual, cultural, and universal, we believe that every student should have the opportunity to receive the highest quality musical education and training, regardless of grade level, ability, or background.
