UIL State Marching Contest
Congratulations to the Clear Brook Marching Band on a fantastic UIL State Marching Contest performance on Tuesday, November 8th. While the band did not have the opportunity to advance to State Finals, the Prelims performance was a great way to close out the 2016 marching band season! Congratulations students and parents on a job well done this year!
UIL Area E Marching Contest
CONGRATULATIONS students on a fantastic showing at the UIL Area E Marching Contest on Saturday, October 29th! After spectacular Prelims and Finals performances, the Brook Band punched its ticket to State and advanced to the 2016 UIL 6A State Marching Contest! The band was tied for 9th in Prelims, but moved up 3 spots to finish in 6th place at Finals. Of the 40 bands that performed on Saturday, only 8 advanced to the State Contest.
Students, way to represent yourself, the Clear Brook Band, Clear Brook High School, and CCISD at the highest level possible! Volunteers and parents, thank you again for your continued support of our students - your dedication continues to amaze! Our students are blessed to have you pushing them on! The band will perform next at the UIL 6A SMC in San Antonio, TX on Tuesday, November 8th, see you there!
Congratulations to Austin, Cy-Fair, Brazoswood, Friendswood, Clements, Langham Creek, and Cy-Falls high schools on advancing to the State Contest as well!
UIL Region 17 Marching Contest
Congratulations to the Clear Brook Marching Band for receiving a "Sweepstakes" rating at the annual UIL Region 17 Marching Contest on Saturday, October 22nd! The band received unanimous 1st division, or "Superior"" ratings from all three judges. The band will move on to compete at the UIL Area F Marching Contest on Saturday, October 29th at the Berry Center in Cypress, TX. The band will have an opportunity at Area to advance to the UIL State Marching Contest in San Antonio, TX in early November. Wish us luck!
Lone Star Preview
The Clear Brook Marching Band competed at the Lone Star Preview marching contest in Conroe, TX on Saturday, October 15th. The band finished 3rd in their class and 4th overall in both Prelims and Finals against some very tough competition. We finished 1st in individual field visual and also won the Best Percussion award. Congratulations percussion students and Mr. Norris! Congratulations to Richland HS, Stephen F. Austin HS, and Dawson HS on their respective 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes!
Katy ISD Marching Festival
Congratulations to the Clear Brook Marching Band for finishing 1st overall at the Katy ISD Marching Festival on Saturday, October 8th. The band finished 1st in both Class 6A and 1st overall! The Brook Band also took home the Best Percussion award, the Best Color Guard award, and the Best Drum Majors award. Thank you parents and volunteers for your support!
Friendswood Marching Festival
The Clear Brook Marching Band competed at its first marching contest of the season on Saturday, September 24th at the annual Friendswood Marching Festival. The band finished 2nd overall at both Prelims and Finals! The band also finished 1st in Percussion, 2nd in Visual, 3rd in Color Guard, and 4th in Music! Congratulations to Stephen F.
